WONDERFUL NEWS… TAF’S SENIOR GRADY HAS MADE A FULL RECOVERY AND HAS FOUND HIS FOREVER HOME!

TAF came across Grady at a local open access shelter after he was brought in as a stray. When we saw him at the shelter, he was hiding in the back of his cage in fear. We could barely get him to make eye contact with us.

Once out of the shelter, Grady perked up and really started to thrive until he came down with the Canine Influenza Virus. This ultimately led to pneumonia and Grady was hospitalized for weeks. It was touch and go for bit but with excellent vet care Grady made a full recovery.

When Grady’s future mom, Jennifer, came across Grady's photo on the TAF Facebook page, she knew he was the dog for her family! In the last 5 years, Jennifer had lost her husband, her two dogs and her cat. It had been a rough time, but after adopting two more cats, she felt her home needed another great dog.

To say Grady was happy to meet Jennifer and her two kids is an understatement...he was bounding around from person to person with a huge smile on his face. He couldn't wait to jump in their car and begin life with his new, amazing family. Jennifer has updated us to say that they are calling him Mr. O'Grady and that he LOVES his new yard, deck and life in general.

From the streets of Chicago to a beautiful home in a quiet suburban neighborhood, Mr. O’Grady will be living out his golden years in peace and tranquility… his future is so, so bright with his new loving family by his side!
